VETRN’s President, Lee Goldberg and Program Manager, David Ferrara are proud to announce that On April 15, 2023, VETRN graduated nine veteran, service-disabled veteran and family member participants from eight states across the USA from its 2022 VETRN MBA Online program.
At the VETRN online graduation, guests included fourteen representatives from the SBA, VBOC and SBDC communities to support the VETRN graduates from their local geographic area, including SBA Regional Administrators, SBA District Directors, SBA VA Certification Director, a representative of the SBA Office of Veterans Business Development and regional VBOC Directors. Michael Vlacich, SBA Northeast Regional Director, gave the keynote speech to the graduates.
VETRN is thrilled that it is now an SBA Grantee and SBA Resource Partner and has been able to expand its outreach to the veteran and service-disabled veteran community throughout the USA. Thus far, VETRN has received 20 qualified applicants for its 2023 VETRN Program, and, after an interview process, has accepted 14 of those applicants to start in September 2023. To be accepted, applicants must have been in business for one or more years, have a sustainable revenue model and be ready to scale.
Based on inquiries to date, VETRN is expecting 20 participants to be accepted into the 2023 cohort. Applicants who do not qualify for the VETRN Program are referred to the SBA for further resources and assistance in their local geographic market area.
The 2023 VETRN Program will represent the 10th year of programming for VETRN with more than 100 graduates to date and over 100 professional resources now available to support the VETRN graduates as they continue on their journey to grow their businesses and be successful.
During this coming year, VETRN will also be conducting webinars, networking opportunities and other programs of interest to the VETRN graduates and veteran small business community.
