On July 25th , Lee Goldberg, President of VETRN, a non-profit that trains veteran small business owners and family members, free of charge, in how to successfully grow their small businesses, attended an SBA Veterans Summit at the headquarters of the American Legion in Washington,DC. 

In attendance were Veteran Federal Agencies, to include the VA, American Legion and SBA, Veteran Small Business owners who have received SBA training and SBA funding, SBA Grant Recipients as well as SBA Resources, including J. P.  Morgan Chase, Booz Allen Hamilton, First Data,VETRN, Veteran Institute of Procurement, Institute for Veterans and Family Members at Syracuse University, Dog Tag, Inc. and many other veteran support groups. 

The Summit was sponsored by the SBA Office of Veteran Business Development and included panel presentations by the various veteran professional resources, veteran small business owners and Federal Agencies supporting veterans.

According to Larry Stubblefield, Associate Administrator of the SBA Office of Veterans Business Development.  “Based on the feedback received and the success of this Veteran Summit, the SBA will definitely be holding additional such events in the future.”
